Studio 8 Art School has been established by the scenographer Andreas Mavrogenis and offers art lessons of all levels. What makes Studio 8’s Art School significant is the variety of specialties that provides to its students.

In a warm and friendly environment, Studio 8 aims to provide its students with inspiration and creativity through original and unique programs, while promoting at the same time the artistic education.

Our students are privileged with a free entrance to all the events that are taking place in Studio 8.


SPECIALTIES
- Adult’s workshop / Teenager’s workshop
Adult’s workshops are suitable for persons who wish to improve their art skills and for persons who have never drawn a line as well. Studio 8’s workshops can give you the opportunity to learn how to draw and paint via the methods of ‘life drawing’, ‘anatomy’ and ‘figure’ as well as the method of ‘freehand drawing’. Moreover Studio 8’s students have the opportunity to learn the art of sculpture by using material such as clay, plaster and mixed media.

- Kid’s workshop
Every child’s inspiration and creativity shall be encouraged in the most positive way. The respectable and appropriate knowledge of art can benefit the right and proper development of the children. Thus, the good knowledge of art is one of the greatest gifts you can give to your children. Our students have the opportunity to learn lots of techniques and come across to a variety of materials, through a friendly and fun way. Kid’s workshops include painting and sculpture lessons. Some of the materials which our students use are water-colors, pastel, mixed media, recycled materials, clay, plaster, collage, three dimensional structures and typography. The kid’s workshops aim to encourage and help children to develop their artistic skills to the maximum. The basic needed materials are provided.

- Sculpture workshop
Sculpture workshop is designed for new artists, for movie lovers, for everyone who loves games or videogames, or for everyone who perceive sculpture as a pleasurable activity. The lessons include activities that will help you to design and create your own unique three dimensional character. The workshops are suitable for teenagers and adults.

- Freehand Drawing
The anatomy and figure lesson is on the one hand a challenge and on the other hand it provides many artists with satisfaction. At the freehand drawing workshop you will have the opportunity to learn how to draw the human body correctly by observing a model in various poses. Moreover, you will have the chance to experiment your drawing with a variety of materials such as pencils, charcoal, pastel, ink, water-colors, acrylic-colors, oil-colors and mixed materials.

- Portfolio preparation
To prepare a good and effective portfolio is indeed a big step on your artistic career. Portfolio preparation is especially designed for everyone who wishes to distinguish their artwork even as an art collection, or a collection in a book version, or in an electronic version. Portfolio preparation is extremely necessary for candidates who wish to enter to the finest art school universities. Additionally, a good portfolio is ideal for artists who wish to present and promote their artwork in a professional way. At Studio 8, we help our students to prepare, to program, and to accomplish this demanding course. You will have the opportunity to express your talent and your skills through painting, typography and sculpture.

- Graffiti – Comics
For the artists of the new generation who have the capability to perceive the art of Graffiti as one of the most important ways of expression of the present and of the future as well.

- History of Art
During the art lessons, at the end of each month, students take a History of Art lesson, for a more comprehensive and perceiving knowledge of art. Students come across to a variety of artworks and learn the techniques of the past.
